I actually started listening to the audiobook of The Trouble with May Amelia, last week but the narrator was so incredibly apathetic and unemotional that I couldn't listen to it anymore so I decided the check out the real book instead.

Hi there Beth, as per usual, I love the titles you have here. I've been meaning to find The Boy who Harnessed the Wind - I've heard so many good things about it. The Trouble with May Amelia has also been receiving a lot of love. And Jerry Spinelli! We have a collection of his titles here at home, but haven't found this one yet, must be a new one. Thanks for sharing all these!

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Jake and Lily, and would be interested to hear it on audio. Does it use two separate narrators?
Interesting that you put aside a audio book and decided to check it out on another format. I struggle to listen to audio books. I notice I don't connect with the characters and often forget what's happened in the storyline! Maybe I need to find a book with a great narrator! Now I am going back to read your review of Yes, Chef. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteI'll have to check again for the audio of Jake and Lily at my library, the last time I looked they didn't have an audio version yet. I love audiobooks. They make me happy, I always can get so much more done with an audiobook. :)
