Rose Under Fire
by Elizabeth Wein If you think it will be impossible to love Rose Under Fire as much as Code Name Verity, you would be wrong. This book is equally as compelling, both emotionally and intellectually. I personally found myself even more emotionally invested in this book than CNV.

ReplyDeleteFish and Snail was my first read aloud to my new class- they loved it and are still talking about it!Pap's Mechanical Fish looks good. I want to see everyone's Caldecott list- so exciting!
ReplyDeleteFish & Snail is definitely a Caldecott contender for me too. That spread where Snail is looking down into the watery depths of the book Fish just dove into.... Wow! Rose Under Fire is my most-anticipated book of the year for sure. I loved Code Name Verity. I loved it so much I need a new word for it because love just doesn't do it justice. Can't wait to get Rose Under Fire!
