But if I wanted to live up to my One Little Word this year, I felt like I needed to be a part of this. I want to be on the right side of history. Imagine if I had been given the opportunity to attend the March on Washington back in 1963 and I declined because I don't like crowds. I would have regretted it for the rest of my life.
Words can't express what a powerful day it was, so I guess I'll just try to use pictures instead.

I was at the march on Trenton. I was sick, and had no voice, but I left feeling amazing. On Monday I found out many of my students were at marches from DC to NJ and NYC. It felt like being part of something amazing and I love that my students are going out and being world-changers.
ReplyDeleteI did! I went to Lansing. I'm glad that I went because it lit a fire under my butt to DO SOMETHING. The march is symbolic and empty if all we do is come home and sit down and wait for the next one.
