My Monday posts are generally just a highlight of what I've been reading during the week so if you'd like to see all that I've been reading, follow my Goodreads page.
Hello, friends! I hope you had a fantastic week. I know I did. My husband and I welcomed a new dog to our family. Her name is Hazel Grace, she is a one-year-old French Bulldog and I am obsessed with her.
When it comes to bookish stuff, feel free to follow me on TikTok, @bibliophilebeth. I've been playing around with that account more lately and am having a lot of fun with it (though books have taken a backseat to dog videos as of this week).
Last week I read and loved:
Outside, Inside by LeUyen Pham
A beautiful exploration of what life during the COVID-19 pandemic and will help children process all that has happened in the past year and a half by easing into the conversation through the gentle artwork and quiet text. This Very Tree: A Story of Resilience, Community and 9/11 by Sean Rubin
Enough is Enough by Barney Saltzberg

Congrats on Hazel Grace—she is so cute!!! It looks like you've been reading some great books this week—I'm hoping to get Outside, Inside in particular reviewed as soon as I can. Enough is Enough sounds great as well! Thanks so much for the great post!
ReplyDeleteI just put This Very Tree on hold at the library. It sounds like a heart-wrencher.
ReplyDeleteOOH, you shared excellent titles here! I want THIS VERY TREE for my very own! I loved DENNIS EVER AFTER. I need to look up OUR SHED, too, as my husband and youngest daughter often build things together. Maybe a future gift?
ReplyDeleteThese all look great. Looks like my library has almost all of them! off to put them on my waitlist!
ReplyDeleteI really liked LeUyen Pham's book about the pandemic. Instructions for Dancing is on my list. I'm on a reserve list at the library for it. I'll be looking forward to reading what you think of it and Denis Ever After.
ReplyDeleteI loved Inside Outside and am going to look for Enough is Enough for sure. I am seeing a lot of great things about This Very Tree too. Thanks for adding your thoughts to the conversation. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new puppy! I've enjoyed seeing the pics on FB!
ReplyDeleteI've come across a couple of new-to-me 9/11 books. I'll have to check out this one too.
